New CJ to maintain highest standards

The new Chief Justice Mohan Peiris PC has pledged to uphold the dignity of the Judiciary and maintain the highest standards of judicial integrity for Sri Lankans. Senior and Junior members of the Official and Unofficial Bar welcomed the new Chief Justice, Sri Lanka's 44th Chief Justice.

The new Chief Justice thanked the members of the Official and Unofficial Bar and said that he looked forward to their assistance and cooperation in his endeavour to maintain the highest standards of the profession and the Judicial system.

The new Chief Justice was blessed in his Chambers by the clergy of all faiths.
