Col. Olcott's death anniversary today

The 106th death anniversary of the founder of the Colombo Buddhist Theosophical Society, Colonel Henry Steele Olcott will be held today, at 2 pm at the Buddhist Theosophical Society headquarters, under the patronage of National Heritage Minister Dr. Jagath Balasuriya.

Veyangoda Central '85 get-together

A get-together of the '85 batch (A/L '85) of Veyangoda Bandaranayake Central College, Veyangoda organised by the Old Boys' Association will be held for the seventh consecutive year on February 24 at Ranathisara Hotel, Nittambuwa from 7.00 p.m.

Kidney transplant O+/O-

Mrs. E.L.G. Chithra Kanthi (55) of 25/10, 3rd Lane, Kaldemulla, Moratuwa is now in the End Stage kidney failure, diagnosed by Dr. Anura Hewageegana, Nephrologist, National Institute for Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplantation.

The estimated cost of a transplant is around Rs. 300,000.

Chithra Kanthi appeals to the generous public to contribute to her cause by remitting their contribution to A/c No. 080200261105450, Peoples' Bank, Ratmalana branch.

She also appeals to a generous kidney donor with blood group O+ or O- group.
