Observer Schoolboy Cricketer picked as Trinity's best sportsman

Trinity College, Kandy will be having their annual prize-giving on Friday 22 at the school auditorium under the patronage of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

The Observer School Boy Cricketer 2012, Niroshan Dickwella has been selected as Best Sportsman of the Year. He will receive this award from President Mahinda Rajapaksa in addition the Cricketer of the Year Award, Special Cricket Award and Best Batting Prize.

The Best Bowler's Award goes to J. Premasinghe. Fielding to A. Fernando and Best All-Rounder Award to A. Jayasundara. The under-17 Best Batting Prize goes to Ron Chandraguptha. Bowling to Raveen Sayer and Fielding to L. Jayasinghe.

Best Ruggerite of the Year Award goes to D.N.B. Udalagama, Halique Wadood wins the most improved player of the season. There are three special awards in rugby for T.D. Krunathilake, M. Insaf and R.N. Alwis. Trinity College was selected as the Most Outstanding Sports Team of the Year 2010 - Senior Cricket Team and the Most Enthusiastic Team 2012 senior rugby team.
