the best for the future.
Jayantha Paranathala... Retired DIG Sri Lanka Police, former Sri

Scanning the Sunday Observer gives a wide insight into day-to-day

provides valuable reading matter and touches all aspects.

Sports and Physical Education, Lyceum International College, Nugegoda...
The Sunday Observer provides a lot of information. Where sports is
concerned it has been in the forefront covering all sports activities
locally and internationally and we have learnt a lot reading the Sunday
Observer. Most of the articles are written by knowledgeable writers up
to now .. I must say we gained an all-round knowledge by reading this
newspaper.
D.C. Munasinghe - Former Secretary of the Sri Lanka Amateur Boxing
Association and President of the Referees Association.
I am happy to congratulate the Sunday Observer on its 85th
'birthday'. The Sunday Observer newspaper has been in existence even
before we gained Independence. During this period of a little more than
eight decades the paper has provided valuable news locally and
internationally, about the present and the past.
Asanga Seneviratne - President SLRFU, Vice President Sri Lanka
Cricket.
I have been a regular reader of the Sunday Observer and it is good.
People are updated with local and international news. Focusing on
sports, it gives a wide coverage on cricket. It will be appreciated if
more publicity could be given to other sports as well.
Professor Arjuna de Silva - Director Sports Medicine Unit.
I enjoy reading the Sunday Observer. It provides valuable information
and I wish the newspaper all the best.
Major General Daya Ratnayake, President of the Athletic Association
of Sri Lanka...
I consider it a privilege to say a few words on the 85th anniversary
of the Sunday Observer. After reading the Sinhala daily, the Dinamina,
of the weekly newspapers, the Sunday Observer is the best read and is my
favourite. It gives a wide coverage of day-to-day activities locally and
around the Globe.
