Air Force win volleyball tournament

A volleyball tournament was organised by the Avissawella Chandra Sports Club for the 32nd consecutive year to commemorate Independence Day. Sixteen teams from different parts of the island took part in the competition. Sri Lanka Air Force emerged victorious and the Sri Lanka Army were runners-up.

Air Force beat Sri Lanka Army 25-14, 28-26, 25-21. The winners received Rs.20,000 and the runner-up Rs.15,000.
