Ran Sithu Rekha exhibits children’s art

Ran Sithu Rekha an art exhibition organised by the ‘Sahasroo Art Institute’, Pahala Bomiriya, Kaduwela, will be held for the second time from March 8 to 11 at the Sankapitti Vihara Kothalawala, Kaduwela. It is an opportunity for more than 95 children of different age groups to come out with their talents in various forms of arts.

“The drawings and creations of the children which display new methods and patterns of art will definitely take you to a great environment at the exhibition”, said Dhanushika Nadeeshani, who is in charge of the institute. Nadeeshani has a degree in Built Environment from the Moratuwa University.


Muslim Welfare Associations 35th anniversary

The Muslim Welfare Association of Sri Lanka will hold its 35th anniversary celebration and Meelad-un-Nabi function today at 4.00 p.m. at the M.L.S.C. Auditorium, D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

Ambassador for Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. M.N. Hassani Pour will be the chief guest while the Senior Minister for Urban Affairs, A.H.M. Fowzie and Minister of Industry and Commerce, Leader - All Ceylon Muslim Congress Rishad Bathiudeen will be the guest of honour.


PPA get-together

The annual get-together of the Past Pupils' Association of Ananda Sastralaya, Kotte will be held on March 10 at the Village End Holiday Resort, Bope, Padukka.

The event is coordinated by Upul (0777661223), Chanaka (0773973469) and Lalith (0772969588).


Zahira prize-giving on March 6

The annual prize-giving of Zahira College, Colombo will be held on March 6 at 2.20 p.m. at the Ghaffoor Hall. The Chancellor of the South Eastern University, Prof. A.M. Ishaq will be the chief guest and the Dean, Faculty of Applied Sciences, University of Sri Jayawardenapura, Prof. Sudantha Liyanage will be the guest of honour. The principal, Trizvi Marikkar will preside.


Royal 2003 Batch website launch

The Royal College Class of 2003 will launch their batch website on Tuesday, March 5 at 6.30 p.m. at the Royal College Union, Colombo 7.

The website path will be www.rcgroupof2003.org. Besides the launching of the website, the introduction of the membership Privilege Card of Group 2003 will also be held on the same day at the Royal College Union.

The event is coordinated by President Nadith Weerasinghe (077-3742939) and Secretary Randika Mudannayake (077-2996559).
