First innings win for STC

St. Thomas' College, Matara registered a first innings win against
Veluwana College in their under nineteen division two tournament game
which concluded last Monday at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International
Cricket Ground at Sooriyawewa.
Veluwana's left-arm leg-spinner Hasaral Ampitiya was rewarded with a
five wicket haul while Lasith Lakshan and Ishan Maduranga registered
half 'tons' for St Thomas' College, Matara.
Veluwana 136 in 45.5 overs (Hasaral Ampitiya 28, Upamal Dias 23,
Maleesha Deshapriya 15 not out; Rasika Damith 2 for 8, Nevundu Udesh 3
for 14, Hashan Vimarshana 2 for 55) and 180/6 in 82 overs at close of
play, (S.T. Prasad 39, Prasad Thambiliyagoda 37 not out, Upamal Dias 36,
