McDonald's celebrates National Breakfast Day
McDonald's celebrated National Breakfast Day last week by handing out
free egg burgers to customers.
Each of the six McDonald's outlets at Kollupitiya, Race Course,
Rajagiriya, Nugegoda, Kotahena and Welisara, served 1,000 free burgers.
Despite the give-away set to take place between 6 am and 10 am,
crowds began gathering by 5.45 am and all of the six locations had
finished their 1,000 burgers within the hour.
“Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Sadly, so many of
us are in a rush in the morning. We wanted to show our busy consumers in
a truly tangible way that McDonald's breakfast is an affordable and
tasty way to energetically start their mornings,” said Director of
McDonald's, Sri Lanka, Udesh Wijesuriya.
“McDonald's products consist of high quality ingredients from the
four essential food groups required for a well-balanced diet, including
many essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrients. McDonald's is
committed to quality, service, cleanliness and value in every aspect of
its operation,” a spokesman for the company said.
