More Nenasalas to be set up
Steps have been taken to improve access to ICT facilities in areas
around the Deyata Kirula 2013 exhibition site, a media release from the
ICT Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) said. New ICTA-initiated Nenasala centres
will be set up in the Ampara, Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa
districts. The Hardy Advanced Technology Institute, Ampara will be
upgraded as the Ampara Hardy Technology University.
A series of development activities will take place parallel to the
Deyata Kirula exhibition.
The Nenasala Computer Laboratory at the Hardy Advanced Technology
Institute in Ampara will be launched.
The launch of Intel Easy Steps Program will be another highlight. It
is a global IT awareness program developed by Intel Corporation.
The handing over of Personal Computers to the Nenasala Computer
Laboratory by Singer (Sri Lanka) will also take place during the Deyata
Kirula exhibition. This is a part of Singer’s commitment towards
developing IT in the area.
More than 100 Nenasala’s have been set up in the Ampara, Trincomalee,
Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa districts.
