Children's Proverbs

A first grade teacher collected well- known proverbs. She gave each child in her class the first half of a proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. Their insight may surprise you. Reading these proverbs we are sure will enjoy them!

Anyway here are the correct proverbs which you all should use when the use of proverbs becomes necessary.

* You can't teach an old dog new... math.                 * "You can't teach an old dog new tricks.''  

* You can lead a horse to water but...how?               *“You can lead a horse to water, but you can'tmake him drink.”

* Don't bite the hand that...looks dirty.                    * “Don't bite the hand that feeds you.''
