Entrepreneurship Day of Moratuwa University

The second group of undergraduates of the University of Moratuwa will launch their own corporate ventures at the Empowering Young Entrepreneurs - EYE 2013, the Innovative Excellence Award 2013 and EYE 2013 Official Entrepreneurship day of University of Moratuwa will be held on Tuesday at the Kingsbury. The chief guest will be Higher Education Minister S.B. Dissanayake.

The Young Entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka held a media conference and web launch in Colombo last week. "The traditional image of an engineering student in society is that of a technocrat and the scope of an engineer was limited only to a dedicated technical life but not to the leadership and management aspects of a career," Senior Fellow in Entrepreneurship, University of Moratuwa, Dr. Nanayakkara said.

The Young Entrepreneurs of Sri Lanka program encourages engineers to get involved in entrepreneurship by discovering their hidden talent in leadership and management.
