Outgoing Indian HC meets Speaker

High Commissioner of India Ashok K. Kantha had a farewell meeting with Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa at the Parliament last week.

The outgoing High Commissioner thanked the Speaker for extending his unstinted support for the furtherance of India-Sri Lanka ties.

He recalled various visits by Parliamentary delegations during his tenure and, in this context, conveyed that he looked forward to the visit of Speaker Rajapaksa with a Parliamentary delegation to India during the Monsoon Session of the Indian Parliament.
