Uditha Rajasekara 153:

Sri Lanka Lawyers CC beat Muthuwella PCC by 120 runs on Parabola System

In a rain affected Division III cricket match played at St. John's College grounds, Panadura recently. Batting first Lawyers amazed 452 for 9 in 50 overs with a whirlwind knock of 153 by opener Uditha Rajasekara. His innings included 19 fours and 12 sixes.

Uditha was associated 205 opening stand with Ershan Ariaratnam who contributed 75.

In replying Muthuwella PCC were 145 for 7 in 20.3 overs when play was stopped due to bad light.

The Lawyers team led by Asela Patabendi unbeaten on their first round and qualified for the second round of the Division III tournament conducted by Colombo District Cricket Association.

The Lawyers CC is coached by veteran Journalist Ranjan Paranavithana.

Lawyers CC: 452 for 9 in 50 overs (Uditha Rajasekara 153, Ershan Ariaratnam 75, Buwaneka Basnayake 33, Asela Patabendi 17, Yohan Jinasena 40, Nalin Weerakoon 40 n.o., Sonal Dulshan 4/82, R. De Silva 3/63, Dilusha Silva 3/75).

Muthuwella PCC: 145/7 in 20.3 overs (Dilusha Silva 33,G.P. Dananjaya 27 n.o., Manesh Wewita 2/17, Sumudu Liyanarachchi 3/13, Yohan Jinasena 2/36).
