Nation Lanka Finance assigned new credit rating

Nation Lanka Finance (NLF) which passed its Rs. 5 billion assets mark
recently, was assigned a new credit rating by the Investment Information
Credit Rating Agency Ltd (ICRA) at an event at the Galadari last week.
The company which was taken over by a management team headed by
Chairman Jayantha Dharmadasa and Finance Director Asanga Seneviratne in
2011 has shown significant improvement with a customer base of 45,000
and deposits amounting to Rs. 2 billion.
Director Finance, Asanga Seneviratne said that the newly attained B
stable outlook rating will increase investor confidence in our
instruments. The company would also expand its lending portfolio while
focusing on microfinance and leasing, he said. |
