Livelihood project loans for ex-combatants
Nearly 4,700 applications from rehabilitated
ex-combatants are now being processed to provide loans to them to
start livelihood projects. President Mahinda Rajapaksa has allocated
Rs. 525 million to assist the rehabilitated cadres and those
affected by terrorism, Commissioner General of Rehabilitation Major
General Jagath Wijetilleke told the Sunday Observer.

Did brother kill sister to settle debts?
Lokumenike did not turn up for a long time and
her sister got worried. So she went to Lokumenike's house with the
young child. When they reached the house they saw the doors closed.
However, the sister had an extra key and using that key she entered
the house. But she found the house empty and there was no one in the
house.
