Namal sends best wishes for Grade 5 schol students

Hambantota District Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa in a message of greetings issued yesterday has extended his sincere good wishes to students sitting the Grade 5 Scholarship examination countrywide tomorrow.

The message stated: "I wish to extend my sincere good wishes to the little brothers and sisters facing the first competitive examination in the educational journey which bequeaths people of excellence needed for the future of the motherland marching forward with strength. "Proper victories in a country's development can be achieved only by strengthening the human resource with knowledge and skills.

"I am confident that you who have a mentality which can overcome challenges will pass this aptitude test with excellence".

"The correct path for your future is now open. Realise and achieve it with a dedicated effort.

I wish you success".

The Year Five Scholarship Examination will be held at 2,836 examination centres islandwide today.

According to the Examinations Department, 249,396 candidates will sit the exam including 80,329 Tamil medium candidates.

The Education Ministry in a circular issued June this year advised teachers to conclude tuition classes five days prior to the examination date.
