Competitions to mark CHOGM

The Education Ministry has planned school art, essay and oratory competitions to mark the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting and connected activities scheduled in Sri Lanka from November 10 to 17.

A common topic 'The Commonwealth, Development and Social Justice", has been selected for all the competitions to be held in the three media, Sinhala, Tamil and English. The Education Ministry will hold contests at zonal, provincial and national level.

The deadline for zonal level competitions is September 15 and provincial contests will be concluded on September 30. Results of provincial winners are required to be submitted to the Education Ministry before October 10.
