Joseph Vaz beat De Mazenod

Inosh Fernando and Shehara Ranatunge scoring 52 and 51 runs respectively guided Joseph Vaz College, Wennappuwa to defeat De Mazenod College, Kandana by three wickets in their Inter-School Under-15 Division One tournament cricket match played at Wennappuwa and by virtue of this victory Vazians have booked a berth in the pre-quarter-finals.

Shehara the chief run getter for Vazians throughout the season and representing in ten matches has scored 450 runs with six fifties.

Earlier Mazenodians were all out for 153 runs with Malinda Soysa scoring 51 runs. De Mazenod College: 153 in 34.4 overs (Malinda Soysa 51, Sangeeti Silva 20 not out, Shane Kanishka 2 for 29, Dulara Menuranga 2 for 23.
