Lumbini in six run win

A magnificent bowling spell of ten overs, four maidens, nine runs,
five wickets by Lumbini Vidyalaya skipper Tharushan Iddamalgoda enabled
them to beat formidable St. Benedict's College by a narrow margin of six
runs in their Inter-School Under-17 Division One tournament cricket
match played at Kotahena.
By virtue of this win Lumbini has booked a berth in the
quarter-finals and this achievement came after a lapse of ten years and
now they will meet St. Anthony's College, Wattala.
Batting first Lumbini totalled 129 runs with Thushan Ranasinghe
unbeaten on 37 and H. Kularathne claiming 3 for 21 and in reply Sebs
were bowled out for 123 runs.
