Lumiere supports differently-abled youth

Lumiere, a knitted fabric manufacturer in Sri Lanka, has employed to three differently-abled youths.

This segment of people generally known as 'differently abled' are unfortunately considered as a burden on society. Born with certain deficiencies these people have few avenues and openings to advance in life unlike others. Such individuals are looked after by their parents until their adulthood and perhaps, demise or left in the care of a home run either by the Government or philanthropists on donations meant for such destitute or orphaned children and adults.

They will be trained prior to being employed in its mill at the Biyagama Export Processing Zone.
