Corporate Sustainability Awards for 10th year

The Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability Award 2013 ceremony will be held in November for the tenth time.

The award evaluates applicants’ interactions with stakeholders, environment, employees, customers, suppliers, community, government and shareholders. Besides the main awards, three sector awards for Sustainability are for Economic, Social, and Environmental while the category awards for the best performance are under Environmental Management, Environmental Integration, Environmental Value Addition, Employee Relations, Customer Relations, Community Relations, Governance, Financial Performance and Economic Contribution. In expanding the number of awards and to appreciate the competitive sustainability of a business entity, the ‘Grand Slam Award’, will be awarded to a business that wins the Best Corporate Citizen Award five times.

Organised by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, to recognise Corporate Sustainability in Sri Lanka and encourage businesses to adopt best practices to create goods and services, using processes and systems that ensures maximum use of resources in an efficient manner, good labour practices for the workers, minimise environment pollution for workers and consumers and enhance the well-being of all communities.
