A 27-member team from the National Defence College (NDC) of
Bangladesh visited the Sri Lanka Navy Headquarters in Colombo last week.
According to the Navy Headquarters, the team was headed by Brigadier
General Md Latiful Haider and comprised officers from Bangladesh, India,
Myanmar, Nigeria and China.

The head of the team called on Navy Commander Vice Admiral Jayanath
Colombage and held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest.
Mementos were also exchanged as a gesture of goodwill to mark the
occasion.
The Commander of the Navy who addressed the visiting NDC members,
explained the role and structure of the Sri Lanka Navy with special
emphasis on asymmetric warfare strategies which enabled it to defeat a
most ruthless form of terrorism.
