A fine spell of bowling by Isuru Gunasekera (7 for 40) saw Ananda
recording an innings and 37 run win over Wesley in the under 19 school
cricket match played at Ananda Mawatha yesterday.
Wesley who were bundled out for a paltry 98 in the first innings were
dimissed for 103 in their second innings with Isuru Gunasekera the
wrecker taking 7 for 40.
Ananda mustered 237 for 6 declared with Lakshana Jayasekera (53) and
Nisal Francisco (73) scoring half centuries. Wesley 98 (Shanon
Jecaseelan 15, Sandaken Pathirana 4 for 37) and 103 ( Isuru Gunasekera 7
for 40)
