All three elevation categories have shown improved production during the cumulative period last year with the largest increase of 3.6 million kilograms from Low Growns while, medium and high elevation teas have seen production gains of 2.7 million kilograms and 1.9 million kilograms. The Sri Lanka tea crop for 2013 has surpassed the previous year’s record figure of 328.3 million kilograms.
