Army restructuring programs to continue

The Sri Lanka Army, in 2014 too, will continue the restructuring process it had started following the end of terrorism four years ago, with the objective of producing a disciplined force with improved professional knowledge. Army Commander Lieutenant General Daya Ratnayake said the restructuring process is now under way with the ending of the humanitarian operation, to promote professional knowledge with technological innovations among all ranks.
