New CEO for Pan Asia Bank
Experienced Banker Dimantha Seneviratne has been appointed CEO of Pan
Asia Bank from March 1, 2014.
The present Director and CEO of the bank, Claude Peiris will retire
on January 31.
Dimantha Seneviratne counts more than 23 years of banking experience,
of which 15 years was with the HSBC Group. He has held key senior
management positions including several overseas postings covering
Thailand, Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia.
He was the Chief Risk Officer - HSBC Thailand (2011-2013), Chief Risk
Officer - HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives (2008-2011),
Head of Credit Risk Management - HSBC Sri Lanka and Maldives
(2005-2008). He also served as the Chief Risk Officer HSBC Bangladesh in
2010.
Seneviratne commenced his career in banking at Sampath Bank, where he
worked for six years. Before joining Overseas Trust Bank, Colombo branch
(now Nations Trust Bank) and thereafter Saudi British Bank, Middle East
in 1998 where he joined the HSBC Group.
He has valuable exposure in areas of corporate banking, retail
banking and wealth management, credit risk management, operations and
market risk management, internal control, investment banking, debt
capital markets and finance, working in diversified cultures under
different regulatory and market environments. |
