NSB begins New Year on religious note
The first day activities of the National Saving Bank (NSB) for 2014
commenced with religious programs at the head office premises of the NSB
in Kollupitiya.
The proceedings began with the chanting of Seth Pirith and Anushasana
by members of Maha Sanga, which continued with the invoking of blessings
by the clergy of Hindu, Christian and Islamic religions. The Chairperson
of NSB, Ms W. A. Nalani, Working Director, Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana,
GM and CEO H. M. Hennayake Bandara, Additional General Manager T. M. K.
Bandara, Senior Deputy General Manager Dhammika Perera, Deputy General
Managers K. Ravindran, Jagath Gamanayake, Kithsiri Wijerathne, Ms. Anula
Jayasinghe, CRO S. R. Gunatilaka, senior managers and other staff were
present.
Chairperson, NSB, Ms W. A. Nalani said that the staff should make a
collective effort to enhance the activities of the bank. The staff
commenced work for the New Year after taking an oath to serve the bank
efficiently, productively with commitment, honesty, dedication and
loyalty. |
