First ever international symposium at SEUSL

The Faculty of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language of the South
Eastern University of Sri Lanka will hold its first ever International
Symposium on "Towards the Integration of Islamic Knowledge with Human
Sciences" today at the Auditorium of the FIA in Oluvil Campus. All
arrangements have been finalised by the Organising Committee headed by
Senior Lecturer M.H.M. Munas to hold this significant event in a
grandeur manner.
The symposium which will be presided over by the Dean of the Faculty
of Islamic Studies and Arabic Language Ash Sheikh A.B.M. Aliyar will be
attended by the Vice-Chancellor Dr. S.M. Mohamed Ismail as chiefguest
and the key-note address will be delivered by Eminent Islamic Scholar
Dr. M.A.M. Shukri (Director Jamiah Naleemiah, Beruwala).
Analysing 56 Research papers on the theme "Towards the Integration of
Islamic knowledge with Human Sciences" authored by the Academics from
various parts of the world including India, Malaysia and Iran to be
attended here would be the main feature of symposium.
The cultural program depicting "Pakkeer Bawas Baith" and "Traditional
Muslims" Polladi to be staged here would be an added attraction to the
foreign Academics according to Head of the Department M.H.M. Munas who
are making all arrangements in this connection. |
