The Green's Rolls-Royce in Negombo is behind bars for masterminding a
Rs. 20 million robbery to finance his election campaign. Though some
Greens are now trying to give a political twist and whitewash him, it
has come to light that the Green's Rolls-Royce had engaged in two
previous robberies in 1991 and 1995. Was this an added qualification for
him to get an organiser's post in the You-En-Pee?
Kind-Leader shoots down Muza's theory
The Muza-Kind Leader bout has become costly for the Greens in the
West. Muza said that his better half was even offered the candidacy by
the ruling party but opted for the elephant. Nevertheless, Sun
Kind-Leader hit back at his Colombo district rival, saying that if
Muza's theory was right, even Ra-Blue's wife should have been given
nomination for the PC polls.
Love-Slave on a sinister campaign
Saa-jeet, the Love-Slave, in the guise of campaigning for the Greens,
has embarked on a sinister campaign to sling mud at Ra-Blue by using the
rebels My-three Guna-Gem and She-Rull Lak-Pottu. When questioned by
party seniors, Love-Slave conveniently said it was the party's
candidates in Hambantota who requested the controversial duo for their
rallies.
Fonny says no to Bell Boys
The Bell Boys are resorting to various tactics to check the severe
erosion in its vote base. Having taken over the party leadership, Anura
Prince is making every effort to resurrect the party by meeting the
Mahanayake Theras. He even tried to meet Fonny for a possible alliance
but the latter had flatly refused it |
