for the BSc Entrepreneurship special degree at the Department of
Entrepreneurship of the University of Sri Jayewardenapura.

"A degree program in entrepreneurship aimed at developing
undergraduates as aspiring entrepreneurs is a commendable initiative of
the University to address unemployability of local graduates and CCC has
extended its fullest co-operation to improve their knowledge, skills and
attitudes," said Senior Assistant Secretary General (SASG) of the Ceylon
Chamber of Commerce, Chandrarathna Vithanage.
The students were given an overview of how business chambers operate
and also a brief description of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and it
services, which is the first and the oldest chamber in the country.
They were also briefed on the business environment in the country and
what they should do to explore opportunities and face challenges in
today's competitive business world.
The students, who are in the third year of the degree program, said
that the visit to the Chamber and the information gathered during the
familiarisation program will help them to develop a 'Business
Development Plan', a part of their academic needs.
"The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has been consistently supporting
local schools, universities and educational institutes to fine tune
students capacity by enabling such visits and programs," Vithanage said.
