Roads in Devinuwara get facelift

The Chairman Sujeewa Wedage of the Devinuwara Pradeshiya Sabha said that they have accelerated road development reconstruction and rehabilitation work in the division.

Work on Devinuwara Blow-hole road, Hena road, Naotunna South-Siripiyaratana Mawatha, Talalle-Panara road, Gandara East-Toteruppa road, Kadawedduwe East-Wijekoongoda road in the division under the proposed road development programs.

Renovations relating to damaged and broken culverts road- side walls, ditches and drainage systems of above rural roads would also be included in these reconstruction activities, he said.

Nearly Rs. 80 million is expected to be spent for these road development work.

The Maga Neguma and Southern Provincial Council funds are uesed for the purpose Most of these road improvement activities have been over at present and the rest of these road development projects are due to be completed soon Devinuwara Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman said.
