Despite rice and fish mafia pow-pow with Ranil :

President’s victory is crystal clear

President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s victory at the forthcoming presidential election is pretty certain with the kingpin rice mafia and fish mafia who opposed the supply of rice and fish at an affordable price joining forces with the Ranil Wickremesinghe bandwagon, according to political analysts.

They said this conspiracy was hatched by the NGOs lavishing dollars at the behest of anti-government Western forces.

Ministers Nimal Siripala de Silva, Susil Premajayantha and Wimal Weerawansa said that President Rajapaksa will record a resounding victory as the people’s common candidate regardless of his opponent. Conspiracies and assassinations are nothing new to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party but it cannot hamper the party’s progressive forward march, said Minister Susil Premajayantha.

National Freedom Front leader Minister Wimal Weerawansa said unlike Ranil, this common candidate is far easier to be defeated. Although it is true that Minister Sirisena was entrapped in the ‘common candidate bait’ laid by former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga the so-called common candidate could never turn the tide.
