Ban Prabhakaran's birth anniversary celebrations - Swamy
Senior BJP leader Dr. Subramanian Swamy on Friday met Union Home
Minister Rajnath Singh and called upon him to issue a directive to the
Tamil Nadu Government to ban the proposed birthday celebrations of slain
LTTE leader Vellupillai Prabhakaran, who had masterminded the
assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Dr. Swamy asked the Home Minister to issue a directive under Article
256 of the Constitution to ensure compliance with the laws made by
Parliament and any existing laws which apply in that State, saying
"these celebrations are being organised by MDMK leader Vaiko the MDMK
must be ejected from the NDA and Vaiko locked up under the National
Security Act."
