Twenty-seven-year old Gayan Kumara Madinagoda - an old boy of
Kingswood College, Kandy won the "Mr. Kandy" contest organised by the
Central Sri Lanka Physical Culture Association and worked off at Trinity
College Hall, Kandy.
Gayan Madinagoda competed in the 80 kilogramme body weight class and
was placed first and later went on to win the overall title.
