Banana cultivation affected in K'gala

Banana cultivations in the dry zone of the Kurunegala district has
been affected by a fast spreading pest disease, cultivators said.
UP to recent times the Galgamuwa area was free of banana pest disease
and cultivators are perturbed as they have failed to arrest the pest
disease.
Approximately 260 acres of banana cultivation have been destroyed in
these areas.
