A match bag of 13 for 53 by Nimesha Mendis helped St. Sylvester's
College, Kandy beat Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya by an innings and eight
runs at Peradeniya Campus grounds on Friday.
L. Lakshan scored a patient knock of 70 runs in the second innings of
Gurukula, while for St, Sylvesters skipper Hansamal made 42.
St. Sylvester's: 219 (Malith Prematillake 70, Hansamal Perera 42 not
out (J. Pramod 4 for 43).
Gurukula Vidyalaya 111 (Damith Hasith 15; Nimesha Mendis 8 for 17,
Sivakumarana Tyron 2 for 40) and 100 all out (L. Lakshan 75; Imesha
Mendis 5 for 36 and Sivakumar Tyron 3 for 35).
