Rs. 1 million for each local body member

Each member of local bodies will get rupees one million by the government for developing roads and highway network under the 100-day program of he new government, . Secretary to the Ministry of Highways U.R. Seneviratne has informed Chairmen of local bodies countrywide.

All proposed road development projects have to be finalised before the end of April and their proposed projects have to be presented to the Ministry on or before the February 10.
