Major honours for Trinity

Trinity College Kandy posted a first innings win over Isipathana College Colombo in their match schools U19 match concluded at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy yesterday.

Trinitians who have eight outright win this season looked set to add to their tally but they were thwarted by a sixth stand of 85 between Pramod Maduwantha (77) and Sanjula Abeywickrama (33).

Maduwantha had seven fours in his knock. This was also the only half century of the match.

Isipathana College: 119 all out in 47 overs (Salinda Ushan 34, Ishan Roshan 23 , Sameera Dissanayake 18, Pramodya Abeykoon 2 for 30, Lahiru Kumara 2 for 29, Ravin Sayer 2 for 42, Duvindu Tillekeratne 4 for 6). And 212 all out in 75 overs (David Imesha 43, Rishard Randika 27, Pramod Maduwantha 77, Sanjula Abeywickrama 33, Ravin Sayer 4 for 88, Lahiru Kumara 2 for 20, Dilan Jayalath 2 for 1).

Trinity College: 149 all out in 46.4 overs (Nushan Weerasinghe 19, Hasitha Boyagoda 20, Naveen Ekanayake 23 not out, Chameera Dissanayake 3 for 33, Sahan Sandaruwan 4 for 42). And 48 for no loss in 10 overs (Nushan Weerasinghe 14 not out, Arjuna Jayasinghe 22 not out).
