Citi Sri Lanka marks Int'l Women's Day

Citi Sri Lanka will celebrate International Women's Day with Citi worldwide to honour women in the forefront of progress and diversity under the theme 'Connecting Women. Inspiring Change. Making Progress'. Citi Sri Lanka will stage the original play, 'Wonder Woman' which explores the issues faced by women today, to mark the occasion.

Performed for the first time by Mind Adventures, an experimental theatre company, the play is scripted and directed by Tracy Holsinger. The play features a cast comprising Tracy Jayasinghe, Thanuja Jayawardene, Tehani Chitty and Tracy herself.

Holsinger said, "As they explore the magazine's theme of 'Making it Happen' and plan the visuals, they find themselves confronting the reality of their circumstances, in comparison to the image of the ideal woman as defined by the media." Wonder Woman will be performed at the Oak Room of Cinnamon Grand on March 24.
