DHL honoured by Great Place to Work Institute

DHL Express, an international express services provider, has been named as one of the 2015 Top 20 'Best Companies to Work For' in Sri Lanka, by the Great Place To Work(r) Institute.

DHL scored highly on the dimensions of pride, credibility and camaraderie.

Country Manager, DHL Express Sri Lanka, Dimithri Perera said, "It is a pleasure to see DHL honoured as one of the 'Best Companies to Work For' in Sri Lanka. The results show that our employees have great pride in the company and the work they do, and this helps us to consistently provide the best service and quality to customers."

The survey also noted that employees in these companies have great pride and confidence in the organisation they work for, and believe that they are not discriminated against age, gender, religion or race. Employees in these companies said that their organisation provides a good workplace safety environment and they receive strong management support.

Aligning with the company's global program in becoming the Employer of Choice, DHL Express Sri Lanka has implemented various measures to create an environment that engages employees, enabling them to deliver a real competitive advantage and superior business performance for customers.

"Our annual employee 'Appreciation Week' celebrates the contribution of employees. Such events are organised in offices around the world. In these events, senior management plays a key role in expressing their gratitude to staff which goes a long way in creating a great place to work and conveying to employees that they matter in the organisation," he said.
