Gutikaamata Niyamithai in Kurunegala

'Gutikaamata Niyamithai', a hilarious depiction of how one loses his own identity in society, with a set of exceptional characters never seen by an audience before, will be staged at the Kurunegala Provincial Council Auditorium at 3.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Friday July 24.

The cast includes W. Jayasiri, Sarath Kothalawala and Dharmapriya Dias. Stage lighting - Chandana Aluthge, music - Shantha Peiris, make up I Saman Hemarathne, stage settings and costume design - Luoline Wandavall and Janaka Thilakarathne, stage management - Sumedha Prasanna, Ruwan Kumara and Susanga Kahandawalaarachchi.

Gutikaamata Niyamithai is written and directed by Thilak Nandana Hettiaarachchi of 'Gabsaawa' and is presented by Jude Sirimal for Nirmala Prakashana.


Deyyoth Danne Ne at New Town Hall

Deyyoth Danne Ne, a stage drama directed by well versed cinema, television and stage actor, Sarath Kulanga, will be staged at the air-conditioned New Town Hall, Colombo 07, on Saturday July 25, at 3.30 and 6.30 p.m.

The cast includes a host of popular including Ravindra Yasas, Kumara Thirimadura, Mihira Sirithilaka, Sarath Kulanga, Thushari Gunarathne, Tharanga Kumari and Tharaka and Tharaka Upendra. Other players include Jagath Padmasiri (art direction), Saman Malalasekara (stage lighting), Sadda Uthpalakandage (acting motions), Sarath Kulanga (music composition), Sandasiri Adhikari (music direction) Luolin Wandavall (stage management). Nirmani Prabashawari and Jagath Padmasiri will give an additional edge to the drama with their costume designing.

Deyyoth Danne Ne is written by Ajith Mendis and is produced by Jude Srimal of Nirmala Prakasha.

 


Punsanda Paya 2015

The seventh edition of Punsanda Paya will be staged at the Buddhist Hall, Moratuwa. Presented by the Moratuwa Arts Forum, on Sunday Juy 19 this variety entertainment will see more than thirty musicians and singers of repute participating in the show. Also billed to perform are dancers and comedians who have earned a name for themselves in Moratuwa.

Some of the many personalities who will appear on stage include Christopher Paul, Somasiri Fernando, Nihal Nelson, Piyal Perera, Saman de Silva, Lincoln de Silva, Chandral Fonseka, Melantha Perera and Sureshini Wanigasekera. The show will compered by Lakma Salgado and Hiran Fernando.
