Esoft goes for Intel Learn Easy Steps

Esoft Metro Campus entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Intel Sri Lanka on the adoption of Intel Learn Easy Steps. The program addresses the needs of adults and youth around the world who seek to learn basic digital literacy skills. Esoft Metro Campus will use this as a primary instruction module for fundamental technology education in its branch network.

Under this MoU, Intel and Esoft Metro Campus will create a platform to implement Intel Learn Easy Steps as a primary instruction module for fundamental technology education at the Esoft Metro Campus branch network, to accelerate access and effective use of technology to increase and improve opportunities for education.

Intel will provide a no-fee licence to use and replicate Intel Learn materials, access the Intel Education Help Guide, services of a senior trainer to conduct a 'Train-the-Trainer' and no-fee licence to use and replicate the Intel Entrepreneurship Basics materials.

Managing Director, Esoft Metro Campus, Dr. Dayan Rajapakse said, "Sri Lanka needs to do more to properly use ICT in higher educational institutions to improve quality, widen access and reduce the costs of learning."

"Technology can strengthen the three critical elements of higher educational institutions: research, service to the community and teaching. We commend the great work done by Intel Sri Lanka to develop the standard of education in Sri Lanka through technology; we believe that Intel Learn Easy Steps will be an engaging platform for students," he said.
