Dear children,

This week we publish paintings by children afflicted with cancer. They have coloured, painted or drawn these pictures. The pictures were sent to us by a doctor at the Cancer Hospital, Maharagama. It is indeed sad that some of these children are no more. It is important that we keep in mind those who are less fortunate and those afflicted with a terminal illness. We should be content with the good things in life and value them. Remember good health is the most valuable gift. The next time you waste time and money always bear in mind that there are many who do not have money or have a short life span.
