Thangarajah and Thisuri grab tennis crowns

Dinesh Thangarajah and Thisuri Molligoda clinched the men's and
women's titles at the Sri Lanka National Tennis Championship held at the
Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts, Colombo yesterday.
Thangarajah beat Sharmal Dissanayake 6-4, 3-2 before Dissanayake
retired hurt.
In the women's final, Thisuri Molligoda defeated Nethmie Waduge 6-4,
3-6, 6-3 to take the winners' trophy. The National Prize Giving Ceremony
will be held today (Sunday) at 5.30pm at the SLTA, Colombo. |
