Softlogic Finance opens branch in Wattala

Softlogic Finance launched its ‘Clean Zone’ community initiative to coincide with the opening of a branch in Wattala.

Softlogic Finance PLC opened its 28th branch in Wattala recently, continuing the company's efforts to enhance its presence across the island.

The full-fledged branch conveniently and centrally located on Negombo Road, Wattala, offers business loans, personal Loans, Group Personal Loans, Gold Loans, Leasing and Hire Purchase, Fixed Deposits and Savings.

Minister of Tourism Development, Christian Religious Affairs and Lands, John Amaratunga was the chief guest. The company's Deputy Chairman Harris Premaratne, CEO and Director Nalin Wijekoon and COO Indresh Fernando were also present.

To mark the opening of the Wattala branch, Softlogic Finance launched its 'Clean Zone' community initiative, to improve public awareness on the importance of garbage segregation, proper garbage disposal and recycling. Staff of the company were deployed to educate residents through the distribution of leaflets. The ten branches which form the company's Clean Zone network, display separate bins for the disposal of plastics, bottles and non-recyclable material in front of their premises. Softlogic Finance also facilitates greater cleanliness in a 500m roadside extent on each side of the branch by entering into an agreement with the Municipal Councils for each area, to be cleaned at shorter intervals.
