Flying Popcorn

A piece of popcorn,
Escaped from the pan,
And flew across the kitchen,
Like Superman.

It ping-ponged back and forth,
Between the oven and the freezer.
Then it shot up to the ceiling,
Like a daredevil trapeezer.

I tried and tried to catch it,
But it never missed a trick.
So finally I gave up
And ate a licorice stick.

A tree

I am
a tree which
reaches out to you
with love I'll share.
I am here to embrace,
my branches of tenderness.
I am a tree which extends,
water me in tender care,
As I stand by your side,
extending my heart always.

The day's routine

Breakfast in the morning,
Lunch in the day,
Tea comes after lunch,
Then it's time to play.

Dinner in the evening,
When the sky is red,
Then the day is over,
And we go to bed.

My blue jeans

I shook my blue jeans upside down,
Both pockets emptied, these I found,
Some cookie crumbs, a plastic spoon,
A box of raisins from last June,
Two gum balls, and a red balloon,
We'd better wash my blue jeans soon!

I look in the mirror

I look in the mirror,
And what do I see?
A pair of eyes,
Looks back at me.
A nose, two ears,
Two eyebrows, too:
Two lips and teeth, to say,
"I love you."
I look in the mirror,
And what do I see?
I look in the mirror
And I see Me!

Two hungry little penguins

Two hungry little penguins,
Both eager for their nosh,
One penguin's name is Splish,
And the other one's called Splash.

Two hungry little penguins,
Each holding out his dish,
I wonder what's for dinner?
Surprise, surprise - it's fish.
