March 12th Movement marks first anniversary

Seventeen junior parliamentarians signed Declarations yesterday, pledging to commit themselves to eight principles, to mark the first anniversary of the March 12th Movement, Convener of the Movement Rohana Hettiarachchi said.

He said the next step would be to get these junior MPs to declare their assets and liabilities, and this process will commence within the next two months.

Fourteen MPs of the 17 are from the United National Party and the remaining three from the United People's Freedom Alliance.
