from renal complications, underwent surgery recently.
Chathumi is due for another surgery and her parents who are in needy
circumstances appeal for public contributions to be remitted to A/c No.

Wives and mothers of war heroes to observe Women's Day
The Ranaviru Seva Authority will hold a program for mothers, widows
and wives of war heroes, tomorrow (March 14) in Kandy, to mark
International Women's Day.
The program is for women residing in the Central and Uva provinces,
said Deputy Chairperson, Ranaviru Seva Authority, Upulangani Malagamuwa.
Experts will deliver lectures on health and building leadership. A
senior counsellor from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs will deliver a
lecture on lifestyle and social changes. - DY
Ketchimalai Grand Feast today
The Bukhary Muslim Grand Feast 2016 of Ketchimalai Dharga Shareef,
Beruwala, will be held today, March 13 from 9.30 a.m.
The Thamam program between 9.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. will be broadcast
live on SLBC (Muslim Service).
Krishnamurti talk
A recorded public talk on 'An Action that is not the Outcome of
Thought' by the late Indian sage, Jiddu Krishnamurti will be replayed at
the Anula Nursery School, High Level Road, Colombo 6 today, March 6 at
9.45 a.m.
