Wattala Lyceum streets ahead at International Schools athletics
Lyceum International School Wattala, affiliated to the Lyceum Group
of Schools, walked away with the Championship trophy at the
International Schools Athletic Championship (ISAC) 2016, for the eighth
consecutive year and the ninth time as overall champions.
The ISAC 2016 was held from March 4 to 6 at the Mahinda Rajapaksa
Stadium in Diyagama organized by Lyceum International School Nugegoda.
Lyceum International School Wattala dominated proceedings from the first
day at the field and track events and at the conclusion of the meet won
the overall championship, with four new records and a remarkable 981
points.
Gateway International School, Colombo won the runner-up position
scoring 979 points. Lyceum International School Panadura took the third
place with a score of 504 points while Lyceum International School
Nugegoda won the fourth place, scoring 481. Lyceum International School,
Ratnapura won the fifth place with a score of 414 points. Wycherly
