Adopt a village market

The Policy Development Office (PDO) of the Prime Minister’s Office invites the public to upload photographs of their rural ‘polas’ or ‘santhai’ or village markets. You can put across what you like/dislike about your village market (preferably through photographs) and what features you think need improving. Please forward only your village market photographs to [email protected]

Information on the village fairs in addition to Colombo and Matale Districts, eight more districts (Gampaha, Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Jaffna, Batticaloa, Ampara and Polonnaruwa) are currently available on the website with more information to follow.

Turkish delegation meets Minister Haleem

A Turkish delegation met Minister of Posts, Postal Services and Muslim Religious Affairs M.H.A. Haleem at his Ministry recently. Here Minister Haleem with Dr. Sukuru Cetin Advisor to the President and Minister of Religious Affairs in Turkey. Ibrahim Carlos, Charitable Service Specialist Turkey Diyanet Foundation and Private Secretary to the Minister, Fahim Hashim were also present.
